To my surprise when I stopped by the Collectors Shop today the owner had a present for me. This coin came across his counter and he put it aside for me. What a guy!

how common are these and how high of a magnification do you use to see the doubled die I have never found one.

they are not common at all I dont think. You can almost see this with the necked eye if your eyes are good. But you can use a 5x magnification to see it. its very noticeable

The 001 is fairly easy to obtain and can still be found in circulation. This has kept the price low for a rather nice doubled die. Around $50.00 in MS-65.

numismo,,, actually he gave it to me. Although I do buy quite a bit of stuff from his shop. He just knows I like the Lincoln series and kept it for me. nlp

From the images provided it looks like it would grade MS64RD because of the staining. Value around $30.

Very nice DDO, I too found one, MR is correct, you can see with the naked eye the doubling, Nice Dealer/Friend, Nice Condition also!
