Hi Guys,

Found this one many years ago. Anybody would know the current value of it? and where to sell it for a good price if I feel like it.

Thanks in advance.

matisse to CCF,
I don't think your coin matches the one on the link you posted to coppercoins.com but you can get an idea of value using there prices?
Lets wait for the pros to answer.

Looks like a match for DDO-002 to me As for value, CC estimates $40 in VF20 and $75 in EF40, I would grade yours at VF30. Unfortunately, even though this is a tough DDO, it is overshadowed by its much more prominent cousin, DDO-001, the granddaddy of all US doubled die coins.

Umm, well. I would want to question what appears to be a bite out of the coin on the right side. If that's actually on the coin, it's virtually worthless.

If not, the coin still appears to be cleaned, which could be an effect of the imaging - not sure about that either.

Just too many questions not answered by the images alone - probably caused by the images - that keep me from being able to accurately place a value on the coin. At best, it's EF40 with a value between $40 and $50. At worst, it's an EF40 details, cleaned, damaged coin worth about $10 as an example of the die.

And yes, it definitely is 1955P-1DO-002.

Thanks Guys

The coin was sitting in a piece of black foam when I took the picture. Sorry, my error. There are no pieces missing. I read in an other forum that a 1955P-1DO-002 was sold for over $500 on ebay or somewhere else. Just cant remember the grade.

Thanks for your help.
