I bought Verdi-gone recently to use on some lincolns. I was wondering if anyone has used it on silver? I know its not meant for silver, but have you heard of anyone trying anyway? I have a 1/4 farthing from the 1800's. I like the coin, looks great, but has a small verdigris (I believe) on the front. It drives me nuts! Any suggestions

Silver is not really subject to verdigris since coinage silver is an alloy of only 10% copper. What you are seeing is either surface contamination or corrosion of a different sort. Either way, Verdigone would probably be ineffective as it is designed to remove copper salts and nothing else.
