Roll-searching circulated coins is the best treasure hunt I've yet discovered ..... every new batch brings the possibility of ...... well .... what I found tonight.

Searched tonight through 10 rolls (400 coins) .... and pulled 4 war silver Jefferson's ..... 1 ea 42S, 2 ea 43P and 1 ea 45P.

I keep detailed statistics on my roll searches ..... and I had gone 12,400 coins (310 rolls) since my previous war silver find ..... and tonight find 4 war silver in 10 rolls!

Such is the luck of roll-searching .... and the reason to keep on looking.

Best of all ..... the 1942-S was missing from my collection ...... sooooo .... with that hole filled ...... I now need only three coins to complete my humble Whitman 9009 set from bank roll found coins .... 1938-S, 1943-D and 1944-D.

All-in-all .... a fine 10 rolls for me and one step closer to 'completing' my quest of circulation strike Jefferson's.

I offer 1 dancing fruit for my new 1942-S.

David

Nice haul for ten rolls. The best I ever did was 5 from a Brinks box! Congrats!

Congrats on the finds !

I have recently found two Buffalos.....one dateless the other quite good. No War Nickel finds for me yet....(though I don't need any more, it would indeed be a gem to find to add to my batch of 100 War Nickels I have though)

Finding these "treasures" sure makes everything worthwhile ! It's true that persistence pays off.....and ya can't give up !

I have to disagree.....You can never have too much silver! (I currently have 225 War Nickels pulled from circulation and still get dissapointed when I search through 2 boxes and don't find any (like today).

Yeah..... ......as soon as I typed that.......it didn't sound right ! ...
I meant more along the lines of "filling holes".....but I DID say ..."adding another gem to the pile" ! .....
I would LOVE as many War Nickels as I can find !!.....

Nice finds nickelsearcher. I believe they do come in bunches. I once found 6 Buffaloes in a single roll. Probably someone's cash in.
