My 34th coin for the 7070 1850-O Seated Liberty half dimeany scratches in pics are on holder not coin Nice Golden/ Bluish toning on both obv and rev.   This is a rather difficult coin to find in any grade....what would you grade it? Edited by cownas22

AU-55, hard to tell from the pics though. I'd say weakly struck on the back.

My guess would be an AU 55 as well. I'm not overly familiar in grading this series; I just submitted an 1852-O Half Dime that my Dad found in a desk in Germany during WW-II; it resembles your image very closely. |

I agree with the grade of XF! Always because of the beautiful crust, which I think gives all coins nice character, I don't think a grading company should grade at AU. However as far as the wearer goes, I would say AU 55. It kind of stinks the way that works!  |

Unless you have really shaky hands, I am siding lower than everyone else. There is substantial wear on both sides, which may get called a weak strike on the reverse. I think XF.

My first guess was EF-45. There looks to be some luster between the stars, but still has substantial wear. Definitely nice and crusty...oooo.
