Hi all, I have often wondered if I have any, but don't have any refence material. Would anyone care to look and see if I have any? I have finnaly gotten around to taking pics of all of my Morgans (a whopping 31 coins) and I would like to post a couple at a time to see if any of you VAM guys out there spot anything that I may have. I would guess that I don't have any, but I can't say for sure since I don't know what I'm looking for. Anyone care to help? Edited by ndgoflo

I'm working on uploading some pics now. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't suspect that I have any, but sure would be neat if I did. It would probably hook me if I did!

if you have an assoryment of morgans then there is a verry good posibility that you do have some in your collection. Now wether it is a expensive VAM is another thing but every morgan is a VAM but I bet you have some different varieties if you have many morgans at all. I found like 17 in the small collection I have |

I have 31 coins in my Morgan set. I hope that the pics are good enough, they are a little darker than what I thought. I can do better if you need me to. |

aight can you get a close up of that "o" on the 1882-O, it looks like it may be a o/s and if its a O/broken s it will be a top 100 morgan

Thanks Bryan, I tried working with the picture, but the more I zoomed, the blurrier it got. Let me get the copin out and put it under the microscope for you. Might be a while, I'm getting ready to eat dinner!!  But I will definately get a better pic posted. |

heck you should be able to look yourself and see if it looks like theres a line through the O if there is then its a o/s and if the line is broken its a broken s

a 1882 O/S is a very sought after coin, and how I saw it.....I have no clue, I just knew the O didnt look quite right and greysheet for a 1882O/S is as follows in VG=16.00-BID 17.50-ASK in FINE=20.00-BID 22.00-ASK in VF=25.00-BID 27.00-ASK in XF=35.00-BID 38.00-ASK in AU=55.00-BID 60.00-ASK and here is where it gets interesting... IN MS60=160.00-BID 175.00-ASK in MS63=800.00-BID 900.00-ASK in ms64=2,450.00-BID 2,700-ASK in ms65=22,000.00-BID 26,000.00-ASK Edited by Bryan1315

Thanks Bryan, I feel as though I owe you something. Looking back at my records, I picked the O/S up on ebay a little over two years ago for $17.38. Guess I got a deal huh? I'll post a few more Morgans as soon as I get them uploaded to my host site. |
