Indeed ..... that find strains the logic of many of us who have been searching nickels for a long time ....

Great finds ..... I wish it could happen here for me.

Now ..... show us some photos.

Ok here they are.... If you think the quality sucks your not alone. Your welcome to call Steve Jobbs and tell him to put a better camera in his iphone.

I guess I need to buy a good camera.

also I'm guessing I found about 100 1942 non silver nickles in this box too. Are these worth keeping ?

also maybe 20 pre 42 Jeffersons ?

The darkest one is the 1902 and its bar far the best quality.

what and where are the telltale ware spots on this serries that could determine a grade?

thanks and enjoy the pics :)

for me, anything before 1959 is worth keeping, they are like wheat cents.
Rest in Peace

WOW! Terrific finds! It's hard to pin down a grade from those pics, but they look kind of G/VG-ish to me. Some maybe a bit lower as the reverse appears to be missing lettering. Regardless of grade though, that is a terrific find. I'd go back to the bank or where-ever you found those and ask for more.

Are any of those 42 (non silver) nickels in Mint State condition?

I agree that this is a MOTHER LODE box. CONGRATS!
