rjkingston Pillar of the Community United States 642 Posts	Posted 08/08/2011 8:52 pm The reverse looks to be XF to AU. Too bad the front has all that stuff on it. Either way though, it is a common date. It's value is going to closely follow Silver spot price regardless of the condition. Plug your ears CCF , but if you really like this coin for sentimental or other reasons, find a dealer that will help you give it a mild 'dip' to make it look nice. Again, cleaning or not, probably won't help or hurt it's value at this point. Report this Post to the Staff

Done correctly that coin might possibly look better if properly done. But I certainly wouldnt pay to have anything done as it IS a common date. Report this Post to the Staff
Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 08/10/2011 09:27 am Obverse is badly stained and it looks like at some time in the past it has been badly wiped. Seems to have a lot of bad hairlines especially on the lower half of the coin. Even if you could get the stains off it would still be a slight premium over bullion piece.
