The "Second" Coin Market

The only coin shop in my area is like this:
When I first got into collecting, I loved going in and looking around and I couldnt tell the differnce between a cleaned coin and a non cleaned coin. The owner was the most uninteractive, non-people-friendly person I have ever met. But I didnt know a thing about ebay and this was the only one I knew about
Then I got more into collecting once I found this forum and learned a TON of info here, and I went back to the coin store after a while. Turns out the guy hired a helper who is one of the most helpful people ever and extremly friendly-what you expect someone to be. So of course this made me go again.
However 99% of the stuff is over priced and 90% of the seated lib halves were cleaned (along with a ton of other coins) so I only buy dimes for melt and the few good deals he has in the dime section. I was very suprised that he let me buy dimes for melt without saying something like "no, you can't" and that was the end of the conversation.
So know I come back more, also because of the silver price, but the guy was selling junk Barber halves for $18 each when they were worth $10.50 in melt, so I only buy sparingly.
