In my efforts to better organize my collection I have been buying some coin storage boxes. These boxes are really helping me get my collection where I want it. Mostly getting the 1, 2 and 3 row boxes for coin flips (2X2's) But I really like the four I got for dimes today. They hold $100 face (20 rolls) and fit well into a banks security box. I also ordered some quarter boxes for my State and ATB Quarters, I hope those come soon. Are other members using anything like these.

I have one or two for halves, but those tubes are my favorite, and I intend to order a lot more. Most of my bulk silver is stored away, safe-deposit, in paper rolls or loose. Those tubes are a great way to maximize storage space!

Quote: Those tubes are a great way to maximize storage space I agree, I have been switching to square tubes and boxes and my safe and bank SD box have much more room. I really like thses dime boxes, plus they are only $5.99 each, and come with the 20 tubes. From Coin World.

I don't have any yet but have some boxes for 1.5x1.5s and 2x2s on my wish list. I thought about trying to finagle some other items or make my own boxes but they're cheap enough I don't have to bother.
I didn't consider the ease of them fitting into a SDB. That would be another added benefit.

I've got 9 of the Whitman two row boxes for 2x2's, several old cigar boxes, some just ordinary boxes, a few plastic boxes and miscellaneous other things for coins. AND naturally over 100 Albums.

I'm like Carl - got a lot of random stuff that works well. I move things around as necessary to try and stay organized - HA!

My Conder tokens are in 5 double row 14" boxes and my early date cents are in two more. (roughly 36 pounds of early copper.)

One problem I found in using just ordinary cardboard boxes is the bottoms temd to fall out or just start to sag. I've gone to placing a few really thick pieces of cardboard on the bottoms of those and what seams like a hundred feet or more of packing tape. I used to also use the tins from those round fruit cakes but found to difficult to get the lids off.

whenever I get coin boxes like the one in your picture from the bank. Which I have, I save them up and use them to hold whatever kind of coin they are from. I have gotten nickel and penny boxes like this from my bank. They usually dont give them to me though. I also use the regular coin boxes I get from the bank for my collections as well

I use the single row 2x2 boxes almost exclusively. I usually sort by denomination. I also have those for sale on my eCrater site (shameless plug) in their own box. I think if I was to sell at show, I would put 2x2 into 3 ring binder.

I like the red boxes from Virg MarshallIIIInc. I buy them with the 2x2s. Most dealers use the heavier two-row boxes. I bought stuff from one dealer who was a roofer and made his own multi-row boxes out of aluminum.
Take a look at camera supplies. 35mm slide storage stuff will usually fit 2x2s.

I have a bunch of the red boxes for a single row of 2x2's. I like them and can find them for around $2 or less.

Sounds like a lot of us are using the same storage or have used the same type. I did use a lot of the same stuff, that I read you are all using.
I used boxes I cut down and taped up to fit what ever rolls I was putting away. Also used any type container I thought would work. like metal bins or plastic storage containers.
Now that I am trying to realy organize and inventory my collection, I am finding many boxes that are made for what I am collecting. My State/Park quarter are now in 50 roll boxes. Different 50 roll box for each mint (P and D). I use the single, double and triple row boxes depending on how many coins I have for that series. I even bought a new label maker so I can put nice labels on the boxes.
Having a nice collection is great, but having a nice collection in order and properly stored, seems to really make me more ...... happy
