Penny.I was thinking Richard III but I maybe totally wrong.Pics bit blurry but coin nice and sharp.Can anybody tell me what ruler is it and whats the mint mark?Thanks in advance.

Hello, I wouldn't say your coin is Richard III. It is more likely either late Henry III or early Edward I as it is a voided long cross(post 1247). Would there be any chance of some slightly better pictures? It may make it a little easier to ID it properly.

Unfortunately, these new pics aren't enough of an improvement to narrow down the ID. But it's definitely a "long cross", which were issued 1247-1278 (later half of Henry III and beginning of Edward I; the Edward I types still have "HENRICVS REX III" as the obverse legend).

It's IDed enough to move into the British coins forum, however.

It looks like a class V issue of Henry III to me. It's not really in good enough condition to identify the sub-class. Can you read the reverse legend ?

It is certainly a Voided Long Cross Penny of Henry III. Class V, Minted by Robert of Canterbury.
