I recently purchased this coin and it is my first Republic coin. I am certain I overpaid but what would the folks here be willing to spend on a coin like this? The attributions are as follows: M. Aburius Geminus AR denarius minted in Rome in 120 B.C. Helmeted Roma head right, GEM behind, cross X below chin/ radiate Sol holding whip in galloping cuadriga right, M.ABVRI. below horses, ROMA in exergue. 3.56 grams, 20 mm diameter.

I have not collected Roman Republicans for many years but from what I have heard the 'market' for them is hot. I suspect one this nice would be close to $200

$150 included shipping seems to be about a par price for this coin, to me at least.
I only have a victoriatus, acquired about 30 years ago.

Based on it's condition I think $150 isn't a bad price.

I like the coin because unlike so many Republicans I see for sale it does not look like it was made 'yesterday'. EF coins are great to find .... but a few wrinkles are appropriate on anything 2 thousand years old ! A little conservation should bring out the personality of this one. PS I have bought a few pieces from this seller too. He seems to get a premium on most of his ancients. Having a 'stellar' reputation I think he has a large following of loyal customers.

I've also picked up some nice coins from Lucernae. I think you did well for USD$ 150--good centering and even strike.
That's a nice quadriga too! There's only one coin under yours on vcoins, and it's noticeably more worn.
