bought my first box today asked the lady about a box last week,,she told me they did not have any..today, asked a different lady. she said of ourse! how many do you want? I mader the comment they must be new. cause they were out last eweek..she informed me they are never out... as she went to get my box...the other lady [from last week] was giving me the stink eye ole Biddy!! so I know who to ask and who to avoid from now on   opened the first roll,,1 1949 wheat, 8 coppers |

You should have yelled to the lady giving you the stink eye, "AM I NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUR PENNIES,HUH?"  What a great lesson on Persistence!! If you don't get them the first time keep asking. Edited by Mr Click

thats all I found in the first roll...
so far I am at the 5th roll and averaging 10 coppers per roll
only that wheat so far....
i am looking for wheats and culling out copper and tones
also looking for any/all 2009
the 49 wheat is an S

Good job Frodo! I hope you find some nice Wheats in there! I like toned Pennies too! You're lucky, we can't get Pennies up here in Canada anymore.

WAIT... you just traded in a few pieces of paper for a few thousand pieces of copper... there was no purchase... it is an exchange The next time you go in, go to the STINK EYE'd lady and ask for 2 boxes of pennies... if she says they don't have any say sorry and go to the back of the line then get a different teller and ask again then GLARE at her while the other teller is in the vault  |

actually...exchanged 58 rolls of pennies and 9 rolls of nickels for the same.. I think getting back in her lane,,,,is a excellent idea I give a pretty good stink eye myself coinsrus..YEP! THATS the stink eye!....  |

pennies are fun to crh, but once you get a fresh box and tear it up, then the problem starts the addiction, must get more boxes like a zombie ,,enjoy

@Frodo I remember when I started click clacking for the first time. I looked at everything. Saved everything. Then I realized I'm going to only keep the Best of the Best. I keep about 35 -50 coins out of a full box of pennies. I have to now. I go through about 10 boxes of pennies a week. Tell me in 6 months if you don't start doing the same! Click |

I'm startin to see that already...what do I need extra rolls of 2013 for ? I dont.
really dont need the copper..but the scrounge in me wont let me get rid of something for a penney that is worth 3 cents

I've gotten to the point where I only save the good looking copper, if it's ugly it's not worth it. Take the nasty ones back in hopes of finding Wheaties |
