Miss Cut Or Error Paper ? - Coin Community Forum

mycoins Previously Banned Member 42 Posts	Posted 04/22/2015 6:52 pm My Local bank teller called me today .She noticed this bill in a brand new pack and they all thought it was weird so they well messed with it before calling me . I of course went over and seen the brick it came from all brand new bills. So I traded them took it home. Under extreme magnification there is no burns, no melt spots nothing to show it was damaged. Also a weird thing is it has what looks like a blakesly effect ? I thought maybe scissors but it would have had to be done at the mint. What do you guys all think ? I would think it would be all jagged this note almost looks like a cookie cutter it is so clean. As I said they removed it from a crisp brick and messed it up I guess thinking maybe someone was playing tricks ? @ jim, thats one expensive mouse if he jumps on the 100 pile lol Report this Post to the Staff

If you cut a polymer note with a pair of scissors, and then pull on it, you will be left with a missing piece nearly identical to the one you have shown above. Polymer notes don't tear like the old paper notes used to. Here's an example of another note that has a very clean tear. It's just the way these notes rip; nothing uncommon.
