I hope I'm not but, I have looked through earlier threads trying to find all three images together with clean denticles. There seemed to be about ten pages or more on the subject. Finally, I just thought I would take a pic of each type from my "die crack under King" pile of '48's and hope I got it right... I always seem to have trouble with these..

hopefully, I got it right?

That's absolutely awesome! I had an extraordinary amount of difficulty collecting the 3rd of this set of 3 as well. I'd *think* I had identified the 2, so I'd buy the 3rd from ebay only to discover it was the same as one I already had. So I just kept buying which oddly, increased the doubt at what I thought I had already identified especially because some of the cents were in better condition than others. Finally I noticed a fair deal from someone who was selling the entire lot of three at once. Whew!

I'm certain you saved many other people hours and hours of frustration.

Thanks, everyone! Glad they can be of use. I think I only have one with the die crack under the king. Now, I've got a couple rolls of '48's to go through to see if I missed pulling any "A to small's"

Love the photos -- a great visual aid which I'm sure many of us here will be checking often to compare our own '48's. Thanks for a job well done, Steve.
