1853-P $1 Gold Liberty Head Dollar Type 1

Pretty (tiny) little thing..
How they kept from losing these way back then.
I believe this is the tiniest coin made by the US Mint.

Mintage: 4,076,051
Diameter: 12.7 millimeters (0.4999 inches)
Composition: 90% gold, 10% copper
Gold content: .04837 troy oz.

This one in TPG plastic,
Opinions appreciated.. Thanks -Ron

Wow, you've been buying a slew of pretty coins lately
This one has an excellent strike by the way. No rim dings, contact marks or digs on this coin, although looks like a bit of a rough surface due to a worn die (see bust neck on obverse). Not quite the luster of a 65, so I'll say 64.

I thought the pics were a little grainy myself, but it kinda is under a loupe.
Camera sees all. Decent luster though.
So small though, I can barely see it in hand..
-And I can see like a hawk..

OOOOPH! NICE!

65 is my opinion. If not, 66!
