The scans don't do her justice--the word LIBERTY is clear on band and date is clear. What did show up clear is the wear to the right on obverse on rim. hunter20ga Pillar of the Community United States 1173 Posts	Posted 01/31/2008 2:22 pm It's a little hard to tell key details from the scans, but from what I can see, I'd grade it at F-12. If the beads along the coronet are all intact, and if there are full or nearly complete lines in the Roman numeral III, then the grade could go higher. I love the lowly 3 CN, but not as much as Prethen, who, I'm sure, will weigh in soon with a more informed opinion. I'm not surprised your husband is anxious to get it back! The obverse looks just like the beauty on the COIN FACTS page here at the forum (BTW, is a great place for us Newbys to look and learn!) Report this Post to the Staff

Those pictures are not very good to grade by as we need a much clearer and bigger scan, however it looks like much of the detail is gone due to wear. The coin could be anywhere from VG-VF, so Fine is a fair estimate. Report this Post to the Staff
