So I forget what I was even looking for, but I stumbled on this on Google and figured I would share:

1 pound of copper pennies is $1.43 face value, or $2.61 melt value. They're selling for 9.5x melt, and apparently people are buying? How do I sign up?

...ugg... Hurt my back pulling the milk cans full of copper cents out of the closet. Where do I send them for nearly a dime each?

Mox - I think almost a couple of dimes (melt).

I was amazed members were getting $35 after paying shipping costs for a box of 2014 LSCs. So not a stretch to see folks paying $25 for 143 copper cents I suppose. I just wonder why folks would do it.

Can't believe anyone would pay that. Not going for anywhere near that on ebay. I used to sell them for 1.50 or 1.55 cents each locally. Now I can only get 1.2 cents each. I quit selling on ebay after the USPS "lost" a 70 lb box of pennies that has never turned up.

I'll bet they did buy a boatload if they expect to make that kind of profit!
