Hi, I bought this coin as Japan "Kagen Tsuho" (Kaiyuan Tongbao in Chinese), but it doesn't appears in the catalog.

They are Chinese characters but no such sovereign existed in my memory. Maybe a fantasy issue here.

Definitely a modern fake. The characters read Jia Tong Yuan Bao. No such thing existed, plus the patina is dead-on indicative of a modern fake.
