Are we guessing grades here? The coin looks slabbed. I'll say it slabbed at a 69.

CHD, technically no. But in a round about way... Yes! I recently went on a ASE buying binge. And you are correct. It is a slabbed 86. And it is slabbed at MS69. But as Jamie, and SpaceMan mentioned.... That gouge or mark if you will over and around the 1 on rev. had me questioning if it should be returned or not.

I purchased a lot of 5 in various years. All are magnificent! As is this one... But I didn't want to get ahead of myself being so wet behind the ears in numismatics. If it's that close I may be expecting too much.

Good eye folks! Any more graders with a "feel good moment" grade for me? Additional input related to situation encouraged. Thanks!
