If I look at it at an angle, tip it down to the right slightly, I can barely see "197". No 4th digit.Any premium?

I thought I could barely see a 7, that's why I asked.
Sometimes you can see more on a coin in your hand than you can looking at a photo.

With that amount of detail missing, they commonly sell for around $3.00 - $5.00 on ebay.
Rest in Peace

moxking loved your comment- I used to love KFC - extra crispy, it's been years since I've been to a KFC though.

Based on the obverse die design, it has to be a 1970-1973. If the reverse has the large FG initials, then it is a 1973. The smaller FG initials would make it a 1970-1972 in your case. However, this design started in 1969.

It's amazing how you guys can narrow a coin that's missing half it's information to a couple years. The reverse side is a little greased too and looks like the initials were affected. But they appear to be right next to the memorial, just a hair's width separation,if that helps.

Looking at this closer, it actually has the obverse design from 1974-1982. So the date range for this penny has to be from 1974-1979. Oops.
