Is this Struck Through Grease? Besides the missing words, weaker looking hair and lack of eyebrows there is a deep crevice on the right side of his face between his hair and face and the hollows around his mouth and eyes seem deeper. Is it a keeper?
I would think it is Struck Through Grease, but it looks odd to me where "we trust" should be. lots more knowledgeable folks on here will know for sure.
I agree it's Struck Through Grease. Considering the condition of the coin and the fact the devices are not completely gone, I'd say there's no added value.
Interesting struck through indeed. Circulation has taken a toll. Value in is the eye of the beholder.
To me this example has value for sure as a potential learning piece for another post. The question was brought up there about grease in the area of the design rim.
I think this example shows grease placement and or displacement about as close as you can get to the design rim, yet the design rim seems to have struck up fairly normally. Thanks, Doug.
