coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/24/2017 12:17 am When we say it is not enough out of alignment, we mean that the devices don't fall over the edge the coin: The Miss-Aligned-die issue is from the machine setup. The hammer assembly used to be adjustable on the older machines. If it was not centered, then the coin would look normal on the anvil side, but off center on the hammer side. Note on the reverse of this coin there is a weakness that occurs when this aligning is not correct. That is from the hammer die is so far out of alignment, the reverse die doesn't receive a full even strike. (Note the image above) Report this Post to the Staff
