The seller has no clue what it is and then decided to make up a name for the damage and pretend it's an error. Very dishonest if you ask me. RLS0812 Valued Member United States 131 Posts	Posted 02/17/2018 02:16 am Look at the very edge of the indent on the second picture. Metal has been "pushed" out of the way, forming a tiny lip. The writing has also been "flattened" . Similar to what a deep scratch or gouge looks like under magnification. Edit: the seller in the link above has a lot of damaged coins listed as "errors".
