Unfortunately, this was one such coin from my latest batch. It seems to be covered in varnish or shellac (or who knows what) that is worn off in some places. It is nasty looking, but I'll take it, as it is my first 1917-P LWC 1DO-001 in any condition. Report this Post to the Staff

It can be loosened up and removed by Acetone. Give it a long 6 hour bath in Acetone and check on it when 6 hours passes. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff
