Another Attempt At Identifying A Roman Coin: Constantine Jr?

I believe this is (according to the romaincoin.info) Constantine Jr, based on the CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C legend. The reverse is the Glory of the Army (GLORIA EXERCITVS). 2.1g, 17mm. Ben Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 4208 Posts	Posted 10/23/2018 3:50 pm Helvetica (google 'Helvetica RIC Lists' and look for a domain called Catbikes, they have a series of excel lists which are a lot more comprehensive than Wildwinds but do not cover every emperor and type and are a bit harder to use - they tend to have everything listed in RIC) lists 5 mintmark varieties for this type: SLG (RIC VII Lyons 238), dot SLG (244), dot in crescent SLG (254), star SLG (263) and palm branch SLG (268). I reckon it is probably clear enough in hand to make a guess. I doubt it is SLG alone, based on the centering of the letters. Wildwinds has images for palm branch-PLG and dot in crescent-PLG, so you can use those to compare to this one. The distinction between star and dot should be visible in hand at this level of preservation too. Report this Post to the Staff
