The die flow is blocked by the devices preventing it from flowing to the rim. Just something that happens as the die ages:
2012-D-LSC,-MD-Rev,-Or-Is-It-Something-Else
The flow starts at the edge of the device and quickly flows towards the rim.

It doesn't look like Die Deterioration Doubling - it looks like 'die flow' to me

Die flow is part of Die Deterioration. Deterioration shows die wear. The doubling part comes in when the appearsto be a risk between the coins devices and towards the closest rim.
