Jinsofar New Member United States 34 Posts	Posted 06/30/2020 04:45 am I just came across this 2009 d Sacagawea dollar and need some input looking at liberty it looks to be doubled I don't believe it to be md but I been wrong before but what I am looking at is the bottom of all the letters especially the I and the y Report this Post to the Staff

nick10 Pillar of the Community United States 3207 Posts	Posted 06/30/2020 3:58 pm Those sure look like split serifs at the bottom of the I, which you'd get from a doubled die, but I don't see any at the top of the I, so for the moment my gut says lighting issue. The affected area is the outside edge of the devices. 2. The area is flattened reducing the size of the devices. 3. These are part of the single squeeze dies. So the hub doubling would be in the central area of the devices. 4. Variety vista lists none on the obverse of the dies: http://www.varietyvista.com/15%20Go...arieties.htm 5.
