1968 S nickel - Post mint damage; it's taken a direct hit on the mintmark, smooshing it flat in places.
1968? dime - I have no idea exactly what caused that, but it's certainly post-mint damage. It probably got caught in some kind of heavy machinery and stayed there a while. The rim looks similar to the effect seen when a clad coin is dunked in coca-cola or something similarly acidic, but I suspect it's just a by-product of the whole getting-stuck-in-machinery thing.
1977 nickel - the "weird pattern" looks like the adhesive pattern from duct tape or some similar kind of tape. I assume it was stuck there for quite a while. MY guess is that it would come off completely in acetone.
