Got today at gas station I think it's an error but am also new.. smooth edge,, thicker than normal,, lighthouse missing details.. thanks for any help.

A broad struck coin would be larger in diameter than a normal coin. A Dryer Coin will be smaller than a normal coin. Because the reeds are missing on your coin. Also the rim will be higher. The longer the ride in the dryer, the more damage happens to these coins:
