Hope there's someone able to help. This is a President Nixon's visit to Peking medal. Just that I can't find any information of the medal as to where it is made and what is the composition of the medal. Wish someone has the knowledge of it.

@coins, that is an interesting piece. I can find similar items on the interwebs, such as the auction linked below. As they don't specifically mention the composition, I strongly believe it is base metal, perhaps with a thin silver plating.

Also, I have a couple requests. Can you please add the weight and diameter? Finally, I see that many of these types of medals were actually pendants at first. Can you please examine the edge to see if there is any indication of a mounting loop being removed? Thx.

I don't have the weight info now. Edges are consistent with no loop removal indication. Diameter about 42mm.
