ive never been a big nickel guy but recently decided to get into em. I bought some rolls to search through today. what are some interesting things to search for? as of right now I'm just looking for wartime nickels.

I love them all.
Pay attention to what you see in the rolls and keep the best. I think getting into a couple hundred rolls will help you start seeing what is unusual.

went through 10 rolls. nothin so far. found a nice 1954 thats about it

You probably won't find much going thru rolls, but if you want to get serious about Jefferson nickels, I would suggest getting some Proofs, like a 1940 P Proof.

I disagree. You can find a lot of goodies by going through bank rolls of nickels. If you go through enough, you will get silver nickels (1942-45), and you will occasionally land one of the semi-keys/keys, plus once in awhile land a Buffalo nickel.
