The heavy dark mark on the front is a reflection , the coin itself is mirrorlike.

PR-64, brilliant with no cameo
held back a bit by weakness on the bell, lettering and bell lines should be complete on a proof

Thanks guys , it really is a beauty , the dark mark is a reflection , its so mirrorlike.
Can anyone suggest to me why his nose and forehead looks like it does please ?

The more I look at it , theres something not right with the R , it starts there and comes along his forehead and nose.
What exactly am I looking at here ? Is this an error coin ? A double strike ?

This is a nice strike obv, crisp rev, except the bell and it's lines as noted before me, I also believe without better pictures the obv is Machine Doubling, overall PR-65, The bell is really a strong eye attraction, not to crisp....just my opinion...

A little confused here. Did someone say for certain it is a proof ?
That doubling would most likely be machine not die and that would not be real common on proofs. Either way I would also agree with a Gem
MS-65 maybe 66
