Tanman2001 Pillar of the Community United States 4416 Posts	Posted 08/26/2024 1:35 pm I'm not the most familiar with these but I think I would call this one a contemporary imitation with how strange the obverse style appears (to my eye). paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 08/26/2024 2:41 pm Yes, I was wondering too if it might be a contemporary imitative issue or limes denarius or something along those lines, but it is close enough to one of the examples listed in RIC (unless that's also an erroneous attribution of an imitative issue to a Roman mint.)
