I have noticed several posts relating to Cuds so I thought I would post one that I have had for some time. I find it interesting that the metal making the Cud shifted from the obverse nearly wiping out the date.

that is actually a Retained Cud, a little more value added(i think)


and the weakness is always on Cuds, Retained Cuds, and die clips on the opposite side. it helps to detect fake errors

Sure enough! It is listed as CB1/2D-1832-1R Retained.

Thank you Adam_E and robbudo for your input. What would you say the impact on the value would be? My guess is that it would be graded VF by a buyer and XF by a seller. An online pricing guide I've found puts a value on a VF of $92 and on an XF of $180.

There is only a small market for Cuds (and retained die breaks) so it'll only make you more liable to get those selling prices.
