Vietnam issued "Chinese-style" cash coins like these from the 1400s up until 1946, though being much poorer than China, the rulers of Vietnam usually couldn't afford high-quality bronze for their coins - typically they are made of a zinc-lead alloy, sometimes with just enough copper in the mix to give it a brassy colour. This poor alloy plus Vietnam's wet tropical climate usually combine to mean that Vietnamese cash coins are typically found in very poor condition. Your coins are both from emperor Minh Mang, who ruled from 1820 to 1841. You'll find them listed in the Krause catalogue as variants of KM# 182. Krause sorts them by size; at 23.5mm yours is KM# 182b. See here for the zeno.ru page for coins of this ruler.
