One Sided 2006 Nickel - Coin Community Forum

eoughu New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 12/23/2011 12:43 am I've had this nickel for a few months now and I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on it. Specifically, I'm curious as to what kind of error this is and I would also like to know what something like this is worth. The inner ring is slightly indented. Sometimes they use a grinder, or even a lathe to do it. If you weigh it, it will probably weigh considerably less then a regular nickel. Dave Report this Post to the Staff

mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2742 Posts	Posted 12/23/2011 11:21 am But you can, of course, have a coin with a featureless face as a result of being struck against another planchet or if it's struck by a die completely obscured by "grease".
