Anyone else anticipating low bullion at mintages this year?

That's a good point about all the blanks needed....hmmm...was going to skip my tube of 10 with the Lowell's but maybe not....with the Apollo's and some others WAAAAAY too much coin cash needed in less than a month

I don't think there is more than one press for the 5 inch coins. There is some problem with Apollo saucers being minted that we aren't hearing the whole story on is my take. I bet they don't have any problems making as many ATB pucks that are in demand this year. Maybe it boils down to the dies required for the saucers?

Same here. No problems at all. I ordered a roll of the -S quarters too, which really should be included in the mint sets.

Just got an email stating my Lowell puck subscription shipped. 10 to go...

It's probably about time to start thinking of a display case for these guys. I've seen some really cool handmade ones out there.

it's always a pain to have to get those 5 pesky S quarters elsewhere. I can't justify ordering 5 rolls of coins to get the 5 coins I want

Agreed. Thankfully some dealers have no problem buying these rolls and selling the quarters singly.

I've found that most of the -S quarters being sold individually have at least a $1.00 markup on them. I need five (one for my quarters collection and four for mint sets for me and each of my three children). That puts me at $5.00 in premium. A -S roll costs $18.95. What I've started doing is buying the rolls, going through them to find the best five examples and then keeping the rest for trade bait.

$1 markup on individual coins seems like it is pretty typical for ebay. It can be a little less if you wait until the end of the year and get all 5 coins at once.

I've found that I can usually get them for 50-75c each from dealers at my local coin shows though. They buy them in the 100 coin bag at a cost of 35c each.

I was born in Lowell so I would love to get one of the 5 oz. It is not in my budget right now but hopefully later this year.

I have been getting them five for three dollars at the coin show (one of each design for the year).

When you need more than one of each design, the rolls begin to make more sense.

Opening sales for Lowell P were 12,734 which is the lowest for quite some time. Opening sales for the first 'puck' to be released in the year were 14,363 in 2017 and 13,952 in 2018, respectively.
