I met an elderly man tonight that found a two tailed Indian penny while collecting money from a gum ball machine. He found it in the 1960s. It's the light colored penny made out of copper nickel. On both sides are a wreath, shield at the top, and one cent in the middle. Can this be a true error at the mint? Was this a magician's trick coin? Thanks for any help Report this Post to the Staff

Broken-Coin Pillar of the Community United States 1812 Posts	Posted 01/27/2012 02:11 am Photos would help as there may be a chance that the Obverse shows a full reverse brockage strike (rare but possissible)... Then the coin would have to be weighed if it is a brockage strike... Without photos I would guess it's a post mint cent made with two half's... Report this Post to the Staff
