So I got my new 2012 Silver maple for ($37.50) And when he gave me change I found a 50% silver quarter in there So I think I got a good deal on the maple leaf

The premiums dealers are asking today on silver bullion is pretty ridiculous. $4-5, that's insane for an investor.

I like the Canadian silver maples better than most of the new Canadian Mint Glitter.

I'd have no problem paying 5 bucks premium for one coin. As collectors some of us are happy with one Maple Leaf per year to add to a set. But yeah, you should expect a lower premium if buying in bulk as investors do.

1967 and 1968 have 50% silver quarters
thought the 1967 could possibly be 80% so I'm guessing he got a 1968

it was a 68 and I believe siver value is is around 3 bucks so I only paid 1 dollar over spot

technically you paid $4 over spot and got lucky to pull a 50% quarter
though worth 3.14$ will not get full value for it.
