Never Held Or Seen A Morgan...

Folks:

If you are undertaking this great journey of collecting all 95 Morgans, I have been buying all my raw Morgans from a great Chicago based, now retired, collector/dealer. If anyone wants his contact information, please email me , I will make the introduction. & with raw coins, I always like to see, touch, Microscope, & grade...........

& I have been collecting this great Morgans for almost 40 years, & I still need 5 to complete the set.

Wrt to the keys "1895, 1893-S, 1895-O, 1892-S, 1889-CC, 1884-S and 1879-CC", also include the 1894. The Middle 1890's are getting to be the hardest to find. I just picked up a 1895-O VF30. (& BTW: have a repo of the proof 1895, I will never afford the real coin.)

Still need the 1885-CC & 1895-S, which I may pick up in the next couple months.........Then the 1889-CC, 1893-S, & 1894 will be long "wild wild west cattle drive", money & time.

If it hadn't been for the run on the Treasury your 1882-CC would have been a lot MORE expensive. A very significant percentage of the entire mintage for 1882 - 1884 were hidden away in the Treasury vaults which is why they are actually rather INEXPENSIVE in MS today. Back before the Treasury run the 1882 - 84 CC dollars were considered to be semi-key dates and were difficult to locate in any condition, especially uncirculated.
