V-Nickel 1883 (With Cents) Machine Doubling?

But I never knew that md also exits on pre 1900 coins.. Also 2 big die cracks on the obverse.. Report this Post to the Staff

It was a way to prolong the life of the coin. The process was used for a while and then dropped, named after the man who invented it. SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 04/05/2012 7:40 pm Longacre doubling tends to completely (or nearly) circle the feature - I'm inclined to think Machine Doubling for this one unless there's a hub/die double I'm unaware of. Report this Post to the Staff
