I spent $9 in halves, along with $10 in dollar coins at a grocery store. That's a total of $19, and the cashier had to ask one of her co-workers where to put them, and the other cashier guided her.

$3 Pres toward lunch and tip with friends at a Chinese restaurant, with a side show of friendly "give each other a hard time" banter between the two friends and the waitress. Waitress loved getting them!

A Pres at lunch at the cafeteria.

The verbal exchange:
She: "$5.99"
Me: "out of $6"
"is that a dollar?"
"yup"
"Sick!"

Over the last couple days I spent 1 half dollar on a fish dinner, 6 dollars and 2 halves at the grocery store, and 1 dollar for a tip at breakfast. This is 8.50 total.

$71,226.50 to go.

As I was going through my latest roll of "golden" dollars I noticed a Washington dollar that was more "golden" than the others. I think someone gold plated it. I don't know why but it is interesting. Not a significant difference in color. I think I will keep that one.
