I was at the boardwalk yesterday and found a dollar coin under one of those stands where you play carnival games, and traded it for a paper dollar. Then I saw 4 more being used as bets in another game. 13,512.50 to go

Spent $10 in halves the other day at the movie theater to see Jurassic World. Heard halves jingling the whole time through the movie. I'm guessing kids were asking for them when their parents got them as change haha. I'd like to think I created a coin collector that day.

I spent $2.00 in halves to buy motor oil from Walmart.

I'm not including this entry in the count, but as I was walking out to my car, I passed by a vending machine and saw a coin in the return. I pulled out what happened to be two coins: a quarter and a 2000-P Sacagawea. This is only the second time I found a dollar coin laying around like that (the first time was in Phoenix Sky Airport, where I found four dollar coins in a soda machine's coin return).

Taking into account CL's $10 in halves, the total is now $13,500.50 to go.

$13,434.00 To go!

Spent ($10) ten Ikes at Chipolte because the cashier was being a jerk, and tipped someone ($1) one Ike.

I'm a newbie around here, hoping to share some finds and discuss some interesting points. I mostly hunt halves and Ikes. This thread is interesting to me because I regularly use $2 Bills, $1 coins (Ikes if I can find them) and half dollars at business that are cash only or have a credit card minimum.
