I didn't know we were including halves now. I put one in the donation box at Wendy's a couple of weeks ago.

Last weekend I spent 12 dollar coins and 5 halves while camping. Every time I spent dollar coins at the camp store the young woman behind the register would turn to someone else and ask "Are we allowed to accept these?". I would just laugh to myself and shake my head. I guess the country girls don't see these very often.
Since them I spent 4 dollar coins on pastries, 1 dollar coin at the coin shop to buy plastic dollar tubes, 3 dollars and 2 halves at the grocery store, 1 dollar at the drug store, 3 dollars at the coin club meeting for drinks, and 4 dollars at Wendy's.
This is 31.50 total
$92,299 to go.

A whopping 40 for groceries. I paid with a roll of Madison dollars and 15 loose ones. The cashier remarked she hadn't seen dollar coins in a long time, and had another cashier take the coins to another register to exchange them for two twenties, because there was no room left in her drawer. I told her I buy them from the bank every week.
