I spent 1 half dollar at Qdoba for lunch and 6 dollar coins and 2 half dollars in multiple trips to the grocery store.

On the first trip, I handed the cashier a half dollar. The young girl held up the coin between her fingers (at least she held it the right way) and exclaimed "Hey Jen, what do I do with this?". An older lady walked over and said "Oh, it's just a half dollar" and she opened the cash drawer and tossed it on top of the rolled coins on the left side. I heard the two of them talking while I was leaving. I love to give half dollars to young cashiers to see their reaction.
