$1 as part of a tip last night dining out with my 72 year old grandfather and our 81 year old friend. "What's this? A Philipino dollar?" Grandpa asked. Me: "Nope, an American dollar coin. I spent 18 dollar coins and 4 half dollars in NYC while visiting my son. In one of the restaurants I left 3 dollar coins on a table for a tip and my wife grabbed them and replaced them with 3 dollar bills. Of course I objected. I forget what she said she was going to do with them. But a day or two later she used them anyway, so I am counting them here. I also spent 3 dollar coins and 4 halves at the grocery store after I got home. This is $25 total.

Spent three for a set of two dry erase markers. The cashier looked at one of the Presidential dollars and asked if this was a dollar. I told him it was and I buy them at the bank every week. $91,333 |
