I came close to paying for a car with boxes of halves. Was going to order them and roll search them, then pay for the car with the duds, but the wife insisted I didn't. Would have put a nice dent in the tally! :-)

Besides, smaller spends actually get these circulating better that roll-quatities at a time.

$3 in veding machines
$1 as a tip to the coolest hot dog cart on campus.

$89,992 to go

Over the past few days I spent 1 half dollar at the grocery store, 2 dollar coins for fundraiser candy bars, 1 half at the post office, 2 dollars at Panera's, and 6 dollars at Little Caesars. This is $11 total.

$89,981 to go.

I am glad to see that we finally eclipsed the first 10K barrier. I wish I was the one to do it. Oh well. Keep spending those dollars and half dollars everyone.

My only purchace of the day of any kind: Spent $1 presidential on a bottle of apple juice from a campus club.

Story: After I handed the gal manning the store my GOLDEN dollar, she hands it to a guy member of that club saying "Do you want to take this with the rest of the SILVER dollars?" [Probably all the goldens I spent there].

I had to correct them to the fact that they neither looked like nor were made of silver.

EDIT: $89,963.00 to go

I can help with this a bit.

Paid for $750 worth of work to my car in Ikes.

$89,213 to go. :)

I'll be able to throw another big hit out there next week when I sell this car and buy my new one (Used, $7500) with halves. Yes, the dealer knows I'm doing it, haha.
