Girlfriend brought me home one of these that a customer tried to use as a US quarter. Pretty neat find.

the ones I find are not worth keeping, the design is too faded or scratched, unlike the poppy coin, which almost looks BU all the time !

@Royal Silver: This one wasn't in bad shape. Obviously it had lost some of it's luster, but still very nice. It had a small (talking very small) dot on the front, but that was all I could find on it.

Still have no good way to take pics yet. Will try a few things tonight!

Petersun, I've noticed a trend in your posts, and that is that you seem to read the first post very quickly and ask a question that's already been answered.

Back on topic, though, I really don't like these quarters much at all. They fade very quickly. Luckily, me being me, I saved a bunch and preserved them in mylar flips.

@RoyalSilver: Which opium coin are you talking about? I think we've had about 3 in the last 8-9 years.

@Libertad: haha I know! so many commemoratives. I'm talking about the first one ( I think) the one with the poppy right in the middle. The first I believe was in 2004 and then 2008's are the one's I always find in great shape.

I saved a few, and then stopped

I have bought a roll or each... so I got 40 of each in pretty pristine condition... the BC quarter has bag marks/1-2 scratches on the obverse tho (some of them not all)... Plan on hold on to them for a bit and then sell them a singles.
