How To Determine Whether A Banknote Is A Replacement

Baanos Valued Member Canada 290 Posts	Posted 05/26/2012 12:58 pm Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding that if you place an order at a bank for pile of 100 UNC notes, they will be in consecutive order (I know banks may shuffle them, but it is still possible to place them back in order, correct?) and any note which has a serial number which is out of the range of the 100 in this pile are replacement notes. If this is the case, then how can one tell whether a note is a replacement if that note was found in circulation ? Report this Post to the Staff

These show the verified ranges that replacement notes fall in. Even though you may have a prefix that is the same as a replacement note, it may not be from the range that was used, therefore not a replacement note. Report this Post to the Staff
